Matt Hanneman Portfolio

Welcome to my on-line portfolio. My creative passions have taken me through several schools, various jobs, and introduced me to a host of great and talented people. I am currently living in Chicago where I earn my living in sales for the advertising industry. By day I sell TV air time, but by night I can be found working on any number of creative projects.

In an effort to expand my skills, I have studied at several educational institutions. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Studio Art from the University of Iowa, where I had the opportunity to study design, figure drawing, jewelry making, and several other disciplines. I have also graduated from a two part program in animation from Vancouver Film School. My studies at VFS included one year of classical 2D animation which encompassed study of color theory, film study, figure drawing, and composition. The second portion of the VFS animation program focused on 3D, using Maya. The animation program included hands on training from industry professionals, and exposure to top notch technical facilities.

Since concluding my studies I have completed a number of freelance projects fora variety of publications. I have also put my skills to work in the community by developing mural projects for Chicago Cares, and providing graphic design work for Chicago Abused Women Coalition. I continue to pursue other opportunities through gag comics, comic strips, illustration, figure drawing, and any other creative idea that comes my way.
